Last night at the glittering annual Tatler Travel Awards ceremony in London, Orient-Express Hotels received the ultimate accolade of 'Best Hotel Group 2005'.
To add to this honour, six properties within the Orient-Express Hotels’ portfolio featured individually in the ‘101 Best Hotels’ category. In Europe, the legendary Hotel Cipriani in Venice was listed, alongside the 15th century former monastery, Villa San Michele in Florence and the timeless Hotel Splendido in Portofino. Further afield, the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town, the Copacabana Palace in Rio and The Observatory Hotel in Sydney also scooped places in this highly coveted listing.
